These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the gutter cleaning and related services provided by Stardust Cleaning Services, trading as Stardust Gutters ("we", "us", "our", or "the Company"). By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Services
We provide professional gutter cleaning and related exterior maintenance services, including but not limited to:
- Residential gutter cleaning
- Commercial gutter cleaning
- Downpipe clearance and unblocking
- Gutter repairs and minor adjustments
- Fascia and soffit cleaning
- Conservatory roof cleaning
- High-level gutter cleaning using specialist equipment
All services are subject to availability and may vary depending on property type, access, and condition.
3. Quotations and Pricing
3.1 Quotes
- All quotes are provided free of charge and without obligation.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
- Quotes are based on the information provided by the customer and visual assessment. If the actual condition differs significantly, we reserve the right to adjust the price before commencing work.
- We offer fixed pricing for standard residential properties. Complex or commercial properties may require a site visit for accurate quotation.
3.2 Pricing
- All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
- Our standard pricing is based on property size (number of bedrooms) and accessibility.
- Additional charges may apply for:
- Properties with restricted access
- Excessive debris or blockages
- Properties requiring specialist equipment
- Emergency or out-of-hours callouts
- Additional services not included in the original quote
- Any additional charges will be communicated and agreed upon before work commences.
4. Booking and Appointments
4.1 Booking Confirmation
- A booking is confirmed once we have agreed a date and time with you, either verbally or in writing.
- We will send you a confirmation via email or text message where possible.
- By confirming a booking, you accept these Terms and Conditions.
4.2 Access Requirements
- You must ensure we have adequate access to your property on the agreed date and time.
- If access is via a side gate or requires a key/code, please inform us in advance.
- You do not need to be present for external gutter cleaning, provided access is available.
- If we cannot gain access due to locked gates, aggressive animals, or other obstructions not previously disclosed, a call-out charge may apply.
4.3 Rescheduling and Cancellations
- We understand plans change. Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted price.
- We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to adverse weather conditions. In such cases, we will contact you to arrange an alternative date at no additional cost.
5. Weather Policy
Gutter cleaning can usually be carried out in light rain, but for safety reasons, we may need to postpone work in the following conditions:
- Heavy rain or thunderstorms
- High winds (above 25mph)
- Snow, ice, or frost
- Any conditions that make working at height unsafe
If we need to postpone due to weather, we will contact you to reschedule at no additional cost.
6. Payment Terms
6.1 Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- Bank transfer (BACS)
- Cash on completion
- Card payment (where available)
- Cheque (by prior arrangement)
6.2 When Payment is Due
- Residential customers: Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed.
- Commercial customers: Payment is due within 14 days of invoice date unless credit terms have been agreed in writing.
- For larger projects, we may require a deposit of up to 50% before work commences.
6.3 Late Payment
- We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
- We may also charge reasonable debt recovery costs for persistently late payments.
- Repeated late payment may result in services being suspended or future bookings being declined.
7. Service Delivery
7.1 What's Included
Our standard gutter cleaning service includes:
- Removal of leaves, moss, silt, and debris from all accessible gutters
- Clearing and testing of accessible downpipes
- GoPro before and after photo documentation
- Basic visual inspection for obvious damage or issues
- Removal of debris from site (we take it away)
7.2 What's Not Included
Unless specifically quoted, our service does not include:
- Gutter repairs or replacement
- Underground drain clearance
- Fascia, soffit, or cladding cleaning
- Roof cleaning or moss removal
- Internal downpipe blockages within the building structure
7.3 Photo Documentation
- We provide GoPro before and after photos for all jobs as standard.
- Photos will be sent to you via email or text message, usually within 24 hours of completion.
- Photos may be used for our records and, with your permission, for marketing purposes (anonymised).
8. Satisfaction Guarantee
- We take pride in our work and want you to be completely satisfied.
- If you are not happy with any aspect of our service, please contact us within 7 days of completion.
- We will return to address any legitimate concerns at no additional cost.
- Our guarantee covers the quality of our workmanship, not issues caused by subsequent weather events or pre-existing damage.
9. Liability and Insurance
9.1 Insurance
- We hold public liability insurance of £5,000,000.
- Proof of insurance is available on request.
9.2 Limitations of Liability
- We will take all reasonable care when working on your property.
- We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage to gutters, fascias, or roofing materials
- Damage caused by defective or poorly installed guttering
- Issues arising from blocked underground drains (unless quoted for)
- Damage to fragile or non-standard materials not disclosed before work
- Consequential losses arising from gutter issues (e.g., water damage that occurred before our visit)
- If we do cause accidental damage during our work, we will notify you immediately and work with you to resolve the issue fairly.
9.3 Property Condition
- Older properties may have gutters in poor condition. Cleaning may reveal pre-existing issues such as cracks, holes, or loose brackets.
- We will inform you of any significant issues we discover during cleaning.
- We are not responsible for gutters that fail due to age or wear after cleaning.
10. Health and Safety
- We comply with all relevant health and safety legislation, including the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
- Our team uses appropriate equipment including ladders, harnesses, and high-reach vacuum systems.
- We conduct risk assessments for each property.
- We reserve the right to decline or cease work if we believe it cannot be carried out safely.
- Please ensure pets are secured and children are kept away from work areas during our visit.
11. Data Protection
We collect and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR requirements. By using our services, you consent to such processing.

13. Intellectual Property
- All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and designs, is owned by Stardust Cleaning Services or used under licence.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.
- Photos taken at your property remain our intellectual property but will only be used with your consent.
14. Third-Party Services
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of these external sites.
15. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Severe weather conditions
- Natural disasters
- Pandemics or public health emergencies
- Government restrictions or lockdowns
- Industrial action
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
